Who We Are

Built on the Power of 33

33 FOR CHARITY was established with a simple yet powerful vision: that when people come together with open hearts, extraordinary change becomes possible. The number 33 symbolizes compassion multiplied — each person reaching two others, creating an ever-expanding circle of care.

Based in Maumee, Ohio, we are an independent public charity recognized by the Internal Revenue Service under Section 501(c)(3). Our organization operates as a grantmaking and volunteer-driven foundation, channeling resources directly to those who need them most.

Since receiving our tax-exempt status in 2015, we have grown from a local initiative into a organization with programs spanning food security, education, disaster relief, and community wellness.

Our History

A Decade of Service

2015 — 33 FOR CHARITY receives IRS determination as a 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN: 47-4256514), effective June 23, 2015.

2017–2019 — Expanded local food pantry partnerships and launched our first back-to-school supply drive in Northwest Ohio.

2020–2022 — Responded to pandemic-related needs with emergency food distribution and virtual wellness programs.

2023–Present — Growing our volunteer network, membership program, and international outreach partnerships while maintaining active IRS compliance through annual Form 990-N filings.
